Vintage Kaleidoscopes, "L Optique Teleidoscope # 2020-4" Era 1990 By Van Cort Instruments. This classic teleidoscope optical system is encased between tooled brass end pieces. It produces a 3 mirror system that gives you a quilted pattern of the objects that appear before you. The still photos you see here are that of a Mountain Dew soda can. The exterior is wrapped from handmade marbleized paper. This method of process is called Paper A'Cuve. The paper is laid carefully and slowly onto a prepared tray of water with droplets of color floating on it. Since this random coloring, the patterns will always vary just a bit. The paper is then laid out to dry and then wrapped around the scope
Very Good Condition. The scope is 9 7/8" long and 1 7/8" in diameter. The wooden base as shown is also included.
Made by Eric Van Cort in the mid 1980s
