The glass body features a fused design emulating the look of an erupting volcano spewing color, slumped into an easy to hold shape, standing 10” tall. A tapered 2-mirror system produces colorful 9-point images, with a dry cell filled with dry ampules, fused beads, and lampworked glass.
This is a small edition of 6. Charles has devoted his career to kaleidoscopes since 1980 to his kaleidoscope work. He prides himself in building all parts of the kaleidoscope. There are no machined parts used in the making of his kaleidoscopes. We especially love and appreciate his skill and detail taken in lamp working special parts for his object cells. Always a hint of Black is used in the cells the black gives a framework and some structure to his images.
