I would recommend to a friend
Exquisite vintage kaleidoscope--unequaled! 5Charles Karadimos is the world's leading kaleidoscope artist! I've looked at, and through, many "novel optical instruments," and have discovered that Mr. Karadimos is the only one who makes "kaleidoscopes" that I would purchase.
In the effort to be creatively diverse, most scope artists focus on the exterior art. Mr. Karadimos focuses on the interior artwork and has mastered the classic kaleidoscope--top to bottom, inside and out!
Even the vintage Black Cone # 215 has the complexity and diversity to arrest ones attention while the minutes slip effortlessly away. It's an enthralling world of color, complexity, shape, texture, and fascinating changes as each tumble produces a sudden, dramatic, and emotionally exciting image, never before seen!
Once I experienced Karascopes, it was difficult for me to justify the money spent on any other scopes. Karascopes are collectable art, unmatched, unequaled, and signed by the artist! Search all the kaleidoscope sites. . .they don't last long!
Mr. Karadimos has a reputation that is impeccable! My advice? Save your money up and buy a Karascope--I highly doubt you will regret it! The experience is worth every penny you spend!
Additionally, Karl and Jean Schilling, at Kaleidoscopes to You, are wonderful people, and charming to purchase from. She doesn't know it, but Jean introduced me to Karascopes through their online videos of the interior images of their merchandise. I've not looked back since. . .I recommend you visit their site frequently as new scopes are arriving all the time.
Pros:All glass hand made by a kaleidoscope artisan original as nearly perfect as I can find immensely satisfying dry ampules filled with colored seed beads lots of texture crystalline color with contrasting color balance no two alike original lamp worked glass within the cell dichroic glass all pieces hand selected by the artist color coordinated with the exterior optical lens tapered two mirror systems perfect symmetry Are you tired of reading yet? I'm not tired of writing. And the artist is one of the nicest, most eager to satisfy, people I've ever spoken with. Please allow me to explain. . .
After purchasing Black Cone # 215, I discovered that it, being "vintage," didn't have an optical lens. I contacted Mr. Karadimos and he cheerfully replaced the lens and shipped the scope back to me. In transit, the mirror system moved slightly and I had to return the scope for an adjustment, and again, Mr. Karadimos took care of the issue and sent it back in record time! I can't sing this man's praises highly enough! His customer service is without reproach! Please! Support this artist! I know you'll thank me later, so "You're Welcome!"
Cons:I don't own enough of them. Seriously, I couldn't discover even one. . .(crickets)
