Kaleidoscope Necklace, Gold Vermeil Jewelry. The interior image will surprise you with its magnification and color. The optics are superb and include a magnification lens to make the image seem HUGE compared to the tiny kaleidoscope! Tiny Swarovski crystals create the color in these necklaces that are a joy to wear. The chain is threaded through a link on a separate collar on the kaleidoscope. By holding the link at the collar, you can spin the kaleidoscope to tumble the object chamber. This necklace is adorned with a small amethyst collet.

Here is what I understand about the process.

The kaleidoscope itself is cast first in Sterling silver then it is plated in 24 carat gold. We have asked our artist Friends Kevin and Deborah What carat they like to use and it has been as high as 30 K and lowest was 18 K but most lastest have been in the 24 carat.
