Award-winning kaleidoscope artist, Sue Rioux, has designed this all-glass kaleidoscope to reflect the only state park in her home state of Maine, “Acadia.” If you’ve ever visited that Maine state park, you will remember perhaps the blue and white water splashing upon the rocks on the Eastern seaboard. The body of this kaleidoscope is reminiscent of these splashes of waves with the lovely blue and white of the glass.
The eyepiece of this extraordinary kaleidoscope will show two views: one view as a two mirror system with a stunning round mandala, and the second view as a three mirror system filling the entire viewing area. So, you are getting two kaleidoscopes in one body with “Acadia.”
The oil-filled object case has fascinating objects like seashells, fish, a lobster as well as rainbow-producing colors from dichroic glass pieces floating inside to make the wonderful colorful images. The images have six points in both the two and three mirror sides reflecting the sea wildlife found at “Acadia.” Enjoy the images in the video that Jean and Karl have prepared for you. Sue has signed and dated her beautiful, expertly made kaleidoscope.
