The separate rotating chamber can now be unscrewed, allowing you to add small treasures of your own for added fun and sentimentality. Included inside the dry object chamber is a nice bright mix of hand lamp-worked glass and pressed glass gems, producing crisp intense colors. There is also a nice high-powered magnifying lens for viewers of all ages, including those with bifocals. Also included is a solid highly lacquered rosewood base, which looks great with an optional engraved brass plate. A gift box is included, a nice white cardboard box.

I bought this for my parents 57th wedding anniversary. I looked at it before I sent it on to them in England and it was amazing. Neither have had one since WW II. Both have fond childhood memories of them and are looking forward to owning one again. I love the reserved elegance of its compact size. The ability to add/replace the objects in the dry chamber and personalize your kaleidoscope is fantastic. I replaced the objects with lab created gem stones in various shapes, colors and sizes; what a sight! The images are brilliant and endless with a calming almost mesmerizing effect. The kaleidoscope makes an excellent gift for other as well as yourself.Pros:None
