Unique Christmas Gift Idea, Laminated Bug eye Dragonfly Teleidoscope. This handmade optical teleidoscope is a Unique Christmas gift idea, features a handsome solid laminated woods including Padauk Ebony and jalneem wooden exterior, with a nice smooth finish. The glass optics are held in place by a brass ring at the end of the teleidoscope. This unique optical device has no mirror system like a traditional kaleidoscope. Instead this Bug Eye has 24 perfect squares cut in to the lens. Giving you a bugs eye view of the world of 24 smaller same sized square view of whatever you point the end at. Entomologists tell us that bugs like flies and grass hoppers have this lens in their eye and are able to detect movement easier with this compound lens in their little eyes. This is a wonderful little piece of work, and educational gift and a great value. The bug eye teleidoscope is approximately 2 1/4" tall, and is 1 5/8" in diameter at its widest point. The eye hole is 1/2" in diameter. This Bug eye is very similar to the Vancort Dragonfly and we have permission from Eric Van Cort to continue Production of his original design called the Dragonfly.
