The exterior is a high gloss black cardboard that is UV coated for water resistance and durability. Exterior wrap is commercial labeling product. This kaleidoscope complies with all Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act Standards, is approved for Children ages 3 and up has been extensively field tested by our own children.
